The Villa

Villa Vaugrenier is an immaculate provencal-style villa set in a pretty garden planted with ancient olive trees. With magnificent views of the sparkling Mediterranean , the shady terrace is a wonderful place for an evening barbecue. There is a private boules court and plenty of space on the lawn to relax and sunbathe. The villa is in a secure and prestigious private domaine and you have the use of the 25m domaine pool, which is a two-minute walk. A pleasant stroll through the adjacent Vaugrenier National Park takes you to the beaches. Biot village with its typical boulangeries and friendly cafes is 5 minutes' away. The house is elegantly furnished throughout and is decorated with original oil paintings. There are wonderful sea views from all the rooms. Everything is provided so that you can enjoy a relaxing holiday.

The large terrace has both shaded and sunny areas with magnificent views over the National Park and the sparkling Mediterranean. There is a barbecue for carefree holiday cooking. The pretty lawned garden is planted with lemon and olive trees, jasmine and bougainvillea, and there is plenty of space for sunbathing, reading and relaxing. To the side of the house there is a private boules court for a fun game of boules. Guests at Villa Vaugrenier also have use of the 25m domaine swimming pool, which has a long shallow end and plenty of space for exercise laps. The pool is a 2 mins walk from the villa and is rarely busy, even in high season. The adjacent National Park has picnic areas, adventure playgrounds and fitness trails. There are guided nature trails with bird-watching platforms.

Local Attractions

There are weekly markets at all the local villages, with traditional provencal specialities and interesting antiques. Pretty Valbonne is particularly good for the Sunday antique market and a good lunch at one of its excellent restaurants. A scenic train ride along the coast takes you to Italy for the famous Friday market at Ventimiglia for Italian specialities at bargain prices, including food and good leather-ware. Visit the daily flower market in the old town in Nice and have morning coffee at one of the many cafes after browsing through the bric-a-brac stalls. A must for for all the family is the nearby complex of entertainments including Marineland, Aquasplash, childrens farm, Adventure Golf and Antibesland, a large funfair with rides (some not for the faint hearted) and sidestalls to suit all ages. For an interesting day, design your own perfume at one of the famous perfume houses in the ancient town of Grasse, renowned for its flower production and surrounded by fields of lavender and roses.  See our attractions page for more information.

Distances

Charming Biot village is a 5 min drive for your morning coffee and croissants. There are friendly boulangeries, cafes and excellent restaurants. Lively Antibes, with its picturesque old town, has interesting shops, art galleries, restaurants and nightlife, plus the Picasso museum in the ancient Grimaldi chateau. Biot/Villeneuve Loubet 1 km, Antibes 3 km, Nice 10 km, Cannes 15 km, Grasse and Monte Carlo 15 km.

Electricity (high usage only) is charged by meter reading. Normal usage of electricity does not incur this extra charge.

For two-week rentals, a mid-holiday cleaning and linen change is included in the price. Additional  cleaning can be arranged at extra cost.

Linen and towels included (beach towels not included). Cots and high chairs available on request.

Garden  and pool maintenance included.

Maid service, excursions, airport and train transfers can be arranged, contact us for details and prices.

A non-returnable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking.

The balance is due 8 weeks before departure.

An additional security deposit is required in case of damage or extra cleaning, returnable within 2 weeks of your departure
